Preventure Graduates the Most WELCOA Faculty Members in the US
Coventry, RI – Nov. 28, 2011 Preventure, a global provider of corporate wellness programs now has six staff members who have successfully graduated to become Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) Faculty Members. The WELCOA Faculty designation is the highest level of certification provided by the Wellness Council of America, and it honors some of the best trained wellness professionals in the country.
Preventure has more staff with the coveted WELCOA Faculty status than any other organization in the country. Faculty members at Preventure include Engagement Managers: Edna Dennis, Tammy Monk, Ryan Heller, and Terre Shelley; Carol Asci, Director of Engagement; and Kathy O’Neel Webster, Vice President of Operations. Currently, Preventure has an additional seven staff members in the process of working toward the WELCOA Faculty Member title.
In order to obtain the coveted WELCOA Faculty Member designation, participants must have completed at least four trainings from Well Workplace University or the two-day National Summit hosted by WELCOA. For WELCOA Faculty Members to maintain their status, they must complete one additional certification every two years, and remain in good standing with WELCOA. The graduates from Preventure completed four six-hour courses that taught them how to build a results-oriented workplace wellness program, effectively manage a workplace wellness initiative, demonstrate ROI in their workplace wellness program and change unhealthy behaviors.
Mark Correia, Chief Operating Officer for Preventure, is pleased that the designation not only helps the staff in their personal workplace development, but also aids clients who will now work with more knowledgeable wellness professionals.
